National Testing Agency or say NTA is a self-sustaining society
that conducts examinations for the higher education institutes. This autonomous
society has decided to take over the responsibility of CBSE from 2019 onwards.
In a recent press release, the statements were confirmed which stated that the
NTA will be conducting the exams like JEE Main, NEET, CMAT, GPAT and UGC NET.
The NTA will conduct the JEE Main 2019 twice in the year via online mode only.
The first session of the exam will be held in the month of January 2019, whereas, the second session of the exam will be held in the month of April 2019. The students can sit for both the examination to secure their chances of further selection. The official website of NTA is active now for seeking further updates and information at nta.ac.in.
There are certain changes and news candidates must be expecting regarding these sudden changes in JEE Main 2019. Down below are the few points that will clear out whether the exam criteria have changed or not.
- It has been made clear that there shall be no changes in the exam’s syllabus, language, question pattern and examination fee for JEE main 2019. So students need to stick to old criteria and prepare accordingly.
- Although students can sit for both the sessions of the exam but the best scores out of two will be considered for the further evaluation.
- The JEE 2019 will be held in 8 slots and students as per their preference can select only one date for the examination.
- The exam is not in a pen paper mode and students need to prepare well as it is going to be in online mode.
- After August or around September 2018, students will be able to visit the centre to give practice tests for better preparation and results.
For enrolling in the examination, the candidates
need to fill up an application form made available online at both JEE Main and
NTA web portal. The candidates must fill up the asked details and upload the
asked signature, photograph and pay the mentioned application fee duly. Once
the application is submitted, the students must take a screenshot/print of the
acknowledgement along with application ID generated at the end as a token of
proof.
